Coffee is farmed all along the sloping mountains that surround the lagoon by smallholder farmers, and family labor is used for all of their work during harvest. Most producers live in the lower area of town near the lagoon, far from their farms, so all coffee is transported by mule.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis particular lot has given us notes of cream soda, bright red cherry, and a taste of tootsie rolls that we haven’t been able to shake.
