At the end of the day, so much of life's richness comes from our relationships. And for us, building mutually beneficial ones throughout our supply chains is core to who we are. After all, it is the connection that changes the nature of any object.

Liaise is the culmination of over a decade of these connections and how they have shaped our abiltiy to source, roast, and share the finest of specailty coffee. We thrive because of these relationships, and are humbled the way they have taught us to get out of our own world. May our coffee be a conduit of this same richness and delight for you and yours.

Liaise is coffee buyer Jake Smiths' personal index of producer partnerships and knowledge he's developed from his favorite people and places around the world.

He has spent time living and working in East Africa, building equitable supply chains with producers, understanding the domestic market, and developing roasted offering lines tailored to various specialty market needs. Having worked with some of the best coffee producers and exporters in hard to reach areas, Jake has a vision for discovering diamonds in the rough and connecting producers from undervalued origins to the market. While the supply chain and market are ever changing, Liaise is committed to creating memorable connections by sourcing and roasting delightful coffees for all to enjoy.

  • SEASONAL: Single Origins

    Our SEASONAL offerings are sourced with great intent from our longtime network with producers, exporters and importers who supply us with some of the best coffees in the world. These complex, freshly harvested and imported lots are layered with character sure to delight.

  • FARM TEAM: Darker Roasted Classics

    The FARM TEAM line up is a darker roasted set of everyday solid staples we source to maximize our network of supplier’s harvest. It’s our commitment to the farming families we partner with that put in the real work where it all begins.

LIAISE HQ

We are located at 521 N Interurban St. STE B, Richardson, TX

Our facility is intended to be a space where we roast the finest coffees to the best of our ability, as well as a place where we can host anybody who is interested to learn and experience more about coffee. Here we host cuppings, trainings, tastings, and tours, and have our doors open to anyone to say hello on Friday mornings. All of our coffees are stored, roasted, packaged, and shipped out of this facility.

OUR ROASTER

All of our coffees are roasted on the IMF RM30. We put a lot of intention and care into what ends up in the cup, but that starts long before roasting, with the excellent green coffee we source in the first place.

The IMF allows for a style of development that delivers exactly what we’re after: balance, juiciness, and clarity in every cup. Above all else, the IMF's design guarantees the kind of repeatability and consistency that lets us stand behind every roast we put out. We are proud of our roasting system and the difference it makes in the coffee you drink.
