Cuautempan is a community and district of the same name located in the Sierra Nororiental of the state of Puebla in Mexico. The area's residents are primarily dedicated to agricultural activities, growing coffee, corn, and fruit. These coffees are grown in a densely forested river valley and grading straight up. They're not just shade-grown, they're grown in the midst of a cool, lush tropical forest.
This year we’ve decided that going forward, we are going to dig deeper into sourcing more coffees from Mexico and offer different lots from each producing state, year round. To us, especially being here in Texas, coffees from Mexico are important to us as our neighbors just across the Rio Grande. Stay tuned to see more lots from Puebla, Veracruz, Chiapas and Oaxaca.
